LTE Interface and Virtual Routing

Following to previous posting Basic Architecture of the EPS. This figure of example implement to network topology based on routing table. The routing table name is taken from interface name on architecture. It's used Layer 3 Switch to make simple topology. Layer 3 Switch have several physical interface (port) and support multiple routing table (virtual-router or routing-instance). The basic concept, how is each interface name separated and never exchange routing table.

This example is used 5 routing table.

• S1_VR: S1-U & S1-MME Interface 
• S6a_VR: s6a Interface 
• S11_VR: S11 Interface
• S5_VR: S5 Interface
• SGi_VR: Gi/SGi Interface

S1-U interface and S1-MME interface are used same routing table. Even S1-U and S1-MME same routing table, the function doesn't affect each other. It's very possible to make different routing table. But make sure the eNodeB is supported different physical interface between S1-U and S1-MME.
